King's College London

King’s College London cannot be faulted on its location, with campuses opposite the South Bank, beside London Bridge, by Waterloo Station (1½ hours north east from Southampton), and in Denmark Hill.

The main campus, and the location of the large Student Union building with views over the Thames, is on the Strand, near Temple Underground Station. The university’s busyness may have something to do with this central location, as wherever you go on campus there always seems to be a lot going on. King’s is also a member of the University of London, so benefits from all the perks that association brings.

Famous graduates of King’s College London include Archbishop Desmond Tutu, philosopher Alain de Botton, comedian Rory Bremner, and the lady of the lamp Florence Nightingale.

"It was my first taste of independence: being at London University meant I could read and study by day and enjoy the city (and its comedy clubs) by night." Rory Bremner, Kings College London
