University of East Anglia

The University of East Anglia, known as UEA, lies a short bus ride from the centre of Norwich (2 hours north-east from London). Students make good use of the space to create a very friendly environment on campus, and there are plenty of spaces to hang out – particularly in the warmer months when students can really enjoy the wide open parkland in which much of UEA is set.

On the academic front, UEA offers a wide range of subjects, including some renowned around the world (for example their creative writing department).

Notable graduates from the University of East Anglia include numerous authors such as Tracy Chevalier, Kazuo Ishiguro, and Ian McKewan, as well as Doctor Who actor Matt Smith, and comedian Paul Whitehouse.
