University of Nottingham

Nottingham is fairly centrally located within Britain, and has good transport links via the rail network (2 hours north from London) or the M1 motorway.

A short bus ride from the train station is the University of Nottingham’s main University Park Campus, home to the stately Portland and Trent Buildings, Nottingham’s signature architecture. Connected via a Hopper Bus is the Jubilee Campus, a beautiful new campus of wood and glass structures situated around a lake. Keep going on the Hopper Bus and you’ll find the King’s Meadow Campus, while 19 miles out of town is the Sutton Bonnington Campus for subjects like Veterinary Science. If that’s not far enough afield, Nottingham also have Campuses at Semenyih in Malaysia and Ningbo in China. University Park Campus is very green, and quite self contained, with plenty of accommodation on campus. Students tend to be quite a fun-loving bunch, what with one of Britain’s most buzzing cities right on their doorstep.

Famous old boys and girls include the author D H Lawrence, screenwriter Michael Hirst, and Chinese table tennis legend Deng Yaping.
