University of Wales, Newport

The main campus of Newport, University of Wales, is located in a village, a short bus ride outside Newport (Fifteen minutes west of Bristol by train). In the city itself is a brand new campus that will cater for a handful of subjects, including film and business. It will boast some cutting edge media facilities.

Caerleon, however, is where the majority of subjects are located, as well as the central students'’ union, the sports facilities and other media resources. There's a very friendly atmosphere on campus, and a good mix of students from a range of subjects.

Famous graduates of Newport include the film director Asif Kapadia, industrialist Terry Matthews, and filmmaker Justin Kerrigan.
